Scrum Australia 2017 is facilitated by Scrum practitioners, for Scrum practitioners. They include the majority of the Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST) and Certified Enterprise Coach® (CEC) accredited Scrum professionals resident in Australia.
Each member of the organising team has practiced Scrum themselves for many years, and have had extensive experience staging the three previous Scrum Australia conferences.

Colin has worked in many industries from software startups to publicly listed banks and media companies to understand how their users interact with their organisations and what goes into the creation of memorable and lasting user experiences. He has helped companies piece together their User Experience (UX) puzzle, bringing together elements such as user testing, interaction design, user interface design, information architecture and brand consistency into a unified strategy.As a Certified Scrum Product Owner, he understands how Scrum teams work and how important it is to maintain a consistent user experience through the multiple iterations of a product’s development.
Rowan Bunning is an Australian pioneer of Scrum and a Certified Scrum Trainer® and Agile coach since 2008. He spent 10 years in technical software development roles discovering eXtreme Programming in 2001 and leading a company-wide Scrum adoption from 2003. Rowan was an Agile Coach with Conchango (now EMC Consulting) who, in 2008 were the most well known Agile consultancy in the U.K. Rowan provides Scrum training in Australia through Scrum WithStyle and in New Zealand through Equinox IT. As a coach, he has a track record of facilitating rapid Agile transformations including team building, management consulting and cultural change at organisations ranging from start-ups to global brand-name enterprises across the real estate, media, food, building security, data security, collection and content management industries as well as the public sector.
Ilan Goldstein is a globally recognized Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) and has extensive experience working with start-ups, market leaders and public companies to improve their agility through the implementation of Scrum. He is one of only five global CSTs approached by Pearson Publishing (under the Addison-Wesley brand) to author his own Scrum-focused book as part of the critically acclaimed and popular ‘Cohn Agile Signature Series’.Ilan is a director of AxisAgile, a Scrum training, coaching and consulting company based in Sydney, Australia, is a regular conference speaker, contributor to industry publications and blogger on all things Scrum.Along with his Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) certification, Ilan is a Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and PRINCE2 Practitioner.
Martin Kearns is the National Capability Lead for Agile services at SMS MT. An experienced technology professional, Martin has over 18 years of industry experience. Martin is leading the development of an enterprise Agile capability within SMS to support the business strategies of a diverse set of clients. He is a pioneer in the field of Scrum, being one of the first three Scrum Coaches to be certified in the world. Martin’s forte is in the coaching of individuals and organisations to improve their application of the Agile process and to build high performance teams. He has an infectious passion for Agile and is heavily involved with the community.
